We purchased a Samsung Split AC Machine on 26/4/09 (model number- 12ua, 1 ton split ac , invoice number- 18998)from Multi Channel Electronics(North),Kolkata,in the name of my sister Trisha Mukherjee. At the time of installation,Multi Channel Electronics had sent 2 local mechanics to install, but it was neither installed properly nor started working. When we informed it to Multi Channel people,they informed Samsung Customer Care. The Engineer came from Samsung customer care& after inspection he said that those local mechanics had damaged the machine(the junction of the pipe & indoor unit had been broken badly) the entire gas had been leaked due to this damage & it should be re-installed properly again. Then he re-installed the unit at another place of the room. Also I want to mention that the wall of the room damaged badly due to this purpose only. Anyway,he did all the needful to start the machine & at last it started after filling entire gas in it. The entire matter was known Multi Channel people but they didn’t help us that time in spite of several request of changing the unit. Anyway,my sister had used hardly the machine in Apr’09 &from Aug’09. In 2010 summer(april),when she switched on the machine for first time,it was not working! First She informed Multi Channel & they informed Samsung Customer care. Again another Engineer (Mr. Kishalay)came & said the same thing that again that the entire gas had been leaked due to prior damage. As it was within the warranty period, they had taken out both indoor & outdoor units to their own place(Samsung workshop) & repaired & filled up the Gas it without any cost.Again my sister requested & insisted Multi Channel as well as Samsung engineer to change the entire unit because of the Engineer was’nt satisfied atall about the condition of the machine & he forecasted that this problem might be occurred again after few days of usage. My sister informed Multi Channel Manager all this matter & requested to change the machine as the warranty period was about to close. But he assured that the incident would’nt be happened again in future & as the Machine Compressor has 5years of warranty they are liable to solve the problem till 5years. Again I would like to mention that the usage of AC machine was very limited which we can prove through our electricity bills. Now,in this year(2011),SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED. My sister called service center as well as we met Multi Channel people to solve the matter. SAMSUNG Engineer(Complain no.8428099339) Now,after many mails,return mails SAMSUNG had sent their engineer& taken machine for the checking & servicing on 24/6/11. On 5/7/11 they had confirmed me the servicing/gas filling/compressor changing has been done successfully(in free of cost), which was inspected personally by their head trainer/engineer Mr.Subrata Banerjee. They have issued 4 months warranty letter ( complaint number- 8428099339) also after a long discussion with MR. SAMARENDRANATH OJHA-ASM on 6/8/11. Before re-installing the machine,I had repeatedly requested Mr. Ojha as well as Mr. Subrata Banerjee that they also should be very supportive this time as our parents had suffered more than 2 years! They both assured us. Surprisingly,within next 7days,water leakage started from the machine & again their engineer came & solved temporarily but the Machine was not working,he again came as well as inspected,but not solved yet. I want them to replace the AC with a new one.

I purchased a Samsung air conditioner (model – split ac 1.5 ton – as18wadpl) dealer m/s. shah & co 158, anna salai, chennai, bill no. as-2140 dated 31.12.2007 for rs. 23700/- I had given a complaint that there is no cooling from the air conditioner. After repeated complaints one engineer called on me on 6.7.2011 and identified that the problem was no cooling. He collected rs.441/- as charges and told me that the company engineer will come and collect the instrument for repairs and after repairing the same at the service center it will be reinstalled. After one week and repeated complaints the company engineer called on us and collected air conditioner. Then it took another week and it was brought to my house and installed. But again it did not work. So they went away. Now I am repeatedly contacting 0210-30308282 for the status. Every time I am assured that the compressor has to be replaced and new one will come when they will rectify the problem. Every day this is the same exercise. I did a great blunder to purchasing the air conditioner from such a company where there is no customer service and they are only deceiving the customers by phone calls. I am contemplating going to ombudsman for justice but thought let me try once more through the net. I do not know if at least my problem will be solved. I will wait for some more before filing complaint for deficiency of service with the proper authorities. I want them to repair the defect immediately.

I have bought a Samsung window air conditioner on 12th-June-2009 (invoice number- SUN-562). Since then almost every six months some or other problem, repeated occurrence to the AC. In the last two years, the gas in AC was already filled twice, the same problem occurred for the third time. This time is was too pathetic. The gas was previously filled in April-2011, but the same problem repeated in June-2011. With the gas problem, this time the condenser was also spoiled. The Samsung service center, quoting that it will cost me around Rs.5, 000 for repairs and spares in total. I would not like to spend a single pie on this AC any more and would like to have a complete replacement of the AC.

We had gas leak within 3 times within 1.4yrs. We bought a Samsung AC inon 03/03/2010. It had a gas leak in Dec 2010 within the warranty period and was filled by the company. On 22nd March 2011, again there was gas Leak post which the company took the ac and billed us Rs. 3119, however post discussion we were given a discount and assurance that our Ac will function without problem and we paid Rs. 2800. Now on 6th July again our AC stopped cooling and we were told by the service engineer that there is a gas leak and the company gave a warranty of Gas Leak for three months only and that we are past our date of warranty and have to pay Rs.2400 again for the Gas leak. 3 times gas leak within a span of 1.5 yrs is unacceptable to us. Repeated calls assure us of only 3 mths warranty of gas leak and they are still discussing among themselves as to what they offer us finally. I got a call yesterday that they will have to take the machine and only if there is no problem with the condenser and its coil they will give us the figure of how much we will have to pay. I am ready to pay the service charge only if the company assures me that my machine will function without problem for at least 1 yr. If they find a manufacturing defect they need to correct it without charge as Gas Leak 3 times in 1.5 yrs is a rare occurrence.

I bought 2 Samsung Window Air Conditioners (1 Ton each, Model No: AWT12ZK) on 1st May, 2008 (Invoice No: GR/03589). I am extremely dissatisfied with the performance of one of my window air conditioner as suddenly cooling went for a toss in the month of May, 2011. When I registered complaint at Samsung Helpdesk (Call Center), one of the engineers visited and gave me an estimate of around Rs 280000 for replacement of gas in AC. I fail to understand how come within 3 years of buying this branded product, there could be an expense of around Rs 280000 which I need to take care of and that too when I have used this AC at optimum usage (1 hr daily only during summers). When I called Samsung Helpdesk to make them aware that they should get my AC repaired free of cost as I am not going to foot the bill of Rs 280000, the supervisor informed me that it is in hands of local service center located in Kalyan. Helpdesk Supervisor transferred my call to Samsung service center located in Kalyan but they flatly refused to repair my AC free of cost and they told it is in the hands of Company to do so. No one is ready to take the responsibility and I am extremely disappointed the way a branded product like Samsung has performed. I request you to please look into this matter and get my AC repaired at the earliest possible which will keep my loyalty with the company. They are not ready to repair it free of cost. So all I expect is that the company has to provide me the service of AC at free of cost.

I purchased two Samsung Air conditioners of 1.5 ton capacity with Model number AW181QA each for my residence from your authorized agency M/S Columbia Sales, Ghaziabad on 14 July 2010 vide invoice Number 275. I am sad to bring it to your notice that the performance of these AC’s are below the level of satisfaction. Since their purchase, they started creating problems. Numerous complaints were lodged with your agency in this regard but of no use. As the summer season is on, we are unable to get the required cooling from these AC’s. In spite of being so many brands available in the market, we preferred to purchase the Samsung due to its reputation and prompt after sale service but our all hopes shattered. Now this has also become a big question mark on the reputation of your international level Samsung Company. In view of the above, it is requested once again the amount be paid back to me immediately after receiving my complaint. The company has to provide me the refund of the product as soon as possible.

Water has been Dripping into my room from the Unit of this split AC. I camplained several times, and they send a local boy to set it right. But it cant be done. No engineer has come. Complaint No with Customer care is - 8407300969
