An air conditioner is an appliance, system, or mechanism designed to extract heat from an area via a refrigeration cycle. Room air conditioners come in two forms: unitary and split or packaged terminal PTAC systems. Unitary systems, the common one room air conditioners, sit in a window or wall opening, with interior controls. Interior air is cooled as a fan blows it over the evaporator. On the exterior the air is heated as a second fan blows it over the condenser. In this process, heat is drawn from the room and discharged to the environment. A large house or building may have several such units, permitting each room be cooled separately. We purchased a Samsung Split AC Machine on 26/4/09 (model number- 12ua, 1 ton split ac , invoice number- 18998)from Multi Channel Electronics(North),Kolkata,in the name of my sister Trisha Mukherjee. At the time of installation,Multi Channel Electronics had sent 2 local mechanics to install, but it was neither installed properly nor started working. When we informed it to Multi Channel people,they informed Samsung Customer Care. The Engineer came from Samsung customer care& after inspection he said that those local mechanics had damaged the machine(the junction of the pipe & indoor unit had been broken badly) the entire gas had been leaked due to this damage & it should be re-installed properly again. Then he re-installed the unit at another place of the room. Also I want to mention that the wall of the room damaged badly due to this purpose only. Anyway,he did all the needful to start the machine & at last it started after filling entire gas in it. The entire matter was known Multi Channel people but they didn’t help us that time in spite of several request of changing the unit. Anyway,my sister had used hardly the machine in Apr’09 &from Aug’09. In 2010 summer(april),when she switched on the machine for first time,it was not working! First She informed Multi Channel & they informed Samsung Customer care. Again another Engineer (Mr. Kishalay)came & said the same thing that again that the entire gas had been leaked due to prior damage. As it was within the warranty period, they had taken out both indoor & outdoor units to their own place(Samsung workshop) & repaired & filled up the Gas it without any cost.Again my sister requested & insisted Multi Channel as well as Samsung engineer to change the entire unit because of the Engineer was’nt satisfied atall about the condition of the machine & he forecasted that this problem might be occurred again after few days of usage. My sister informed Multi Channel Manager all this matter & requested to change the machine as the warranty period was about to close. But he assured that the incident would’nt be happened again in future & as the Machine Compressor has 5years of warranty they are liable to solve the problem till 5years. Again I would like to mention that the usage of AC machine was very limited which we can prove through our electricity bills. Now,in this year(2011),SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED. My sister called service center as well as we met Multi Channel people to solve the matter. SAMSUNG Engineer(Complain no.8428099339) Now,after many mails,return mails SAMSUNG had sent their engineer& taken machine for the checking & servicing on 24/6/11. On 5/7/11 they had confirmed me the servicing/gas filling/compressor changing has been done successfully(in free of cost), which was inspected personally by their head trainer/engineer Mr.Subrata Banerjee. They have issued 4 months warranty letter ( complaint number- 8428099339) also after a long discussion with MR. SAMARENDRANATH OJHA-ASM on 6/8/11. Before re-installing the machine,I had repeatedly requested Mr. Ojha as well as Mr. Subrata Banerjee that they also should be very supportive this time as our parents had suffered more than 2 years! They both assured us. Surprisingly,within next 7days,water leakage started from the machine & again their engineer came & solved temporarily but the Machine was not working,he again came as well as inspected,but not solved yet. I want them to replace the AC with a new one.

I purchased Samsung air-conditioner during 2009 ( model number- aw18zaxdc, serial- 8324tzas403414w, invoice number- A324PZAS403414W) from navrang electronics, delhi-92. I had got my air-conditioner Samsung repaired with gas refill this year in July. Call number for the same is 4110505758. It costed me Rs 1,261. I was told that this would carry a warranty for three months. Now since the last week, I am facing the same problem with cooling. I called the customer care the technician who visited told me that this time also I would have to pay Rs. 500 as transportation charges. If the transportation charges for the refill of gas that was supposed to work well until at least 3 months are being levied on me, what is the sense of the warranty provided? If the quality of the repair was not up to the mark because of which the problem reappeared, it is not the customers fault. At this pace of repair charges and the quality of repair done, this A/C would cost me Rs. 2000-3000 per year. Maybe this time again gas will leak out, and I shall have to pay 500 again. I have sent an email to the companys central customer care contact. I got a call next day from an executive and I was told that I will have to pay the charges. When I asked that you are making the customer pay for the bad service done at Samsung, I was told that I should talk to the concerned technician who will visit me regarding this. I want them to immediately replace the air-conditioner.

I would suggest that nobody should buy samsung AC as they never have spare parts. They offer depreciation that too very high for even 3 years old AC. Many times the service centres has to be called with false promises that it will be delivered today or tomorrow. The kind of service Samsung people provide to their clients is misfortunate.

I purchased a Samsung air-conditioner (model number 12JKA) with one tonne capacity during Apr 2008. Through bill number 4111710894 dated 01/08/2011 the company took my AC on 02/08/2011 and committed to return next day after replacing cooling coil with total bill of Rs 3500. Next day I received call that Rs 3500 has to be paid for Cooling coil and Gas which I said ok .They said they will send some person to take the money and deliver the same in evening. But even after 16 days we haven’t received our AC back which resulted in lot of problem to my family. My air-conditioner was working and only some cooling problem was there. I called many times to the service centre and were given false promises that it will be delivered today or tomorrow. The kind of service your people provide to your clients is misfortunate. We repeatedly called M/s Sapphire Sales & Services pvt. Ltd / Customer care for many days they give reasons like Today Van not their , We will deliver in the evening , Coil received was defective , Coil was in Chennai and will take 2 more days and many other reasons were given.But AC was not returned. I want Company to immediately provide me a new air-conditioner.

I purchased a Samsung air conditioner (model – split ac 1.5 ton – as18wadpl) dealer m/s. shah & co 158, anna salai, chennai, bill no. as-2140 dated 31.12.2007 for rs. 23700/- I had given a complaint that there is no cooling from the air conditioner. After repeated complaints one engineer called on me on 6.7.2011 and identified that the problem was no cooling. He collected rs.441/- as charges and told me that the company engineer will come and collect the instrument for repairs and after repairing the same at the service center it will be reinstalled. After one week and repeated complaints the company engineer called on us and collected air conditioner. Then it took another week and it was brought to my house and installed. But again it did not work. So they went away. Now I am repeatedly contacting 0210-30308282 for the status. Every time I am assured that the compressor has to be replaced and new one will come when they will rectify the problem. Every day this is the same exercise. I did a great blunder to purchasing the air conditioner from such a company where there is no customer service and they are only deceiving the customers by phone calls. I am contemplating going to ombudsman for justice but thought let me try once more through the net. I do not know if at least my problem will be solved. I will wait for some more before filing complaint for deficiency of service with the proper authorities. I want them to repair the defect immediately.

I have bought a Samsung window air conditioner on 12th-June-2009 (invoice number- SUN-562). Since then almost every six months some or other problem, repeated occurrence to the AC. In the last two years, the gas in AC was already filled twice, the same problem occurred for the third time. This time is was too pathetic. The gas was previously filled in April-2011, but the same problem repeated in June-2011. With the gas problem, this time the condenser was also spoiled. The Samsung service center, quoting that it will cost me around Rs.5, 000 for repairs and spares in total. I would not like to spend a single pie on this AC any more and would like to have a complete replacement of the AC.

We had gas leak within 3 times within 1.4yrs. We bought a Samsung AC inon 03/03/2010. It had a gas leak in Dec 2010 within the warranty period and was filled by the company. On 22nd March 2011, again there was gas Leak post which the company took the ac and billed us Rs. 3119, however post discussion we were given a discount and assurance that our Ac will function without problem and we paid Rs. 2800. Now on 6th July again our AC stopped cooling and we were told by the service engineer that there is a gas leak and the company gave a warranty of Gas Leak for three months only and that we are past our date of warranty and have to pay Rs.2400 again for the Gas leak. 3 times gas leak within a span of 1.5 yrs is unacceptable to us. Repeated calls assure us of only 3 mths warranty of gas leak and they are still discussing among themselves as to what they offer us finally. I got a call yesterday that they will have to take the machine and only if there is no problem with the condenser and its coil they will give us the figure of how much we will have to pay. I am ready to pay the service charge only if the company assures me that my machine will function without problem for at least 1 yr. If they find a manufacturing defect they need to correct it without charge as Gas Leak 3 times in 1.5 yrs is a rare occurrence.

I bought 2 Samsung Window Air Conditioners (1 Ton each, Model No: AWT12ZK) on 1st May, 2008 (Invoice No: GR/03589). I am extremely dissatisfied with the performance of one of my window air conditioner as suddenly cooling went for a toss in the month of May, 2011. When I registered complaint at Samsung Helpdesk (Call Center), one of the engineers visited and gave me an estimate of around Rs 280000 for replacement of gas in AC. I fail to understand how come within 3 years of buying this branded product, there could be an expense of around Rs 280000 which I need to take care of and that too when I have used this AC at optimum usage (1 hr daily only during summers). When I called Samsung Helpdesk to make them aware that they should get my AC repaired free of cost as I am not going to foot the bill of Rs 280000, the supervisor informed me that it is in hands of local service center located in Kalyan. Helpdesk Supervisor transferred my call to Samsung service center located in Kalyan but they flatly refused to repair my AC free of cost and they told it is in the hands of Company to do so. No one is ready to take the responsibility and I am extremely disappointed the way a branded product like Samsung has performed. I request you to please look into this matter and get my AC repaired at the earliest possible which will keep my loyalty with the company. They are not ready to repair it free of cost. So all I expect is that the company has to provide me the service of AC at free of cost.

I purchased two Samsung Air conditioners of 1.5 ton capacity with Model number AW181QA each for my residence from your authorized agency M/S Columbia Sales, Ghaziabad on 14 July 2010 vide invoice Number 275. I am sad to bring it to your notice that the performance of these AC’s are below the level of satisfaction. Since their purchase, they started creating problems. Numerous complaints were lodged with your agency in this regard but of no use. As the summer season is on, we are unable to get the required cooling from these AC’s. In spite of being so many brands available in the market, we preferred to purchase the Samsung due to its reputation and prompt after sale service but our all hopes shattered. Now this has also become a big question mark on the reputation of your international level Samsung Company. In view of the above, it is requested once again the amount be paid back to me immediately after receiving my complaint. The company has to provide me the refund of the product as soon as possible.

I have purchased Samsung Air Condition from Kohinoor Televideo Pvt Ltd (Dadar East) on 5-DEC-2010. My Samsung AC model no is IND183CSB. My bill no is ORD2024828. The product is still under warranty. Since the purchase, this AC is not working properly. Water continuously leaks from the indoor unit into my room as soon as we ON the AC. We asked for replacement several times and always they are replying that they do not have the product for replacement. I have been talking with Mr.Azmat and Ms Leena from Kohinoor. But nothing has been done so far. I want them to replace the item or refund the amount.

I bought Samsung split air-conditioner (model no. AS122UGAN) on 25 Nov 2010 vide invoice no.19370. Within 4 days of time the outdoor unit of a/c got spoiled because of voltage instability. I reported this problem to the seller and a local assistance came and checked the functions. He said that they will replace the spoiled outdoor (including the compressor) with a new one within 3 weeks of time and even they had copies of my bill of purchase to file a replacement. After 3 weeks, I approached service center, they said it will take around another week. I waited but they did not turn up. I mailed this problem to Samsung India. After few days a representative called me and said they can only replace compressor but I asked for replacement of outdoor. He replied it will take some time. Then after few weeks, no news from them. So I called customer care to lookout the problem but they are not sure of the date, when they are going to replace. It is already 3 months and still I am not getting any proper answer from them. I want them to replace the outdoor unit free of cost as the A/C is still under warranty period

I have registered myself with your customer care cener on 27-09-2010 with BP No. NO8406217602. I have sent a number of emails to your helpline. But there is no action taken. I am suffering a lot a discomfort. Online customer care performance is awfully bad. The air-conditioner is only 15 months old. Please arrange for immediate rectification.

I purchased a 2 Ton Split AC, Water started leaking in the room within couple of days of purchase. Service engineer came after several repeated calls, but they created one more problem instead of resolving the existing. Samsung service centre people are really pathetic. They give the promise to resolve the problem the same day but no action is taken even after a week. I thought of buying two more Samsung, but this service support put me down and I have dropped the plan. Sorry, at least now Samsung has to wake up to support their valued customers.

Between LG and Samsung, I always supported Samsung. The reason could be my being in IT and Samsung makes very good computer parts.Alas, my allegiance to Samsung broke and that also in a very painful way.I have a Windows AC which lost its cooling capability. I made a complaint to Samsung regarding this on 15th April 2010, Complaint number: 8400994648. On 17th April I got a visit from Samsung and the person told me that the AC needs to be taken to service center to repair it. He told me that it will be picked next day. Today its 23rd April 2010 (8 days since complaint) and nothing has been done yet.My only connection to Samsung is through customer care number 30308282 / 1800110011. Not a single day has passed that I have not given them a call. Except for few most of the executives in call center are buffoons who cannot even speak properly. I wonder for what kind of quality proposes the call is being recorded by Samsung. Some of them tried to console me by saying they are puttin

I had purchased an LCD 34inch about a month ago and in April I had taken decision to buy a split airconditioner with 5 Star energy rating. I planned to make the purchase through the dealer M/S Sri Vari Enterprises at Salem. The service provided by them is far from satisfactory. In fact for the AC an advance payment of Rs 10,000/- was made on 2nd April 10 with the condition that AC would be delivered on 11th April 10 and installed the same day. We have made frantic calls to them. To our surprise untill 4.0 pm no sign of delivery of unit and deputation of service engineer. One Mr Ramesh who attends the call, gave some explanation which was sounding silly and appeared that the issue was taken very casual. In fact I had plans to install atleast another 4 nos in my house after observing the performance. Their casual approach had urged me to take a decision to withdraw the advance & decide on some other brand.

We have bought three units of Samsung airconditioners on last june (june 2009). They are all in gurranty. From the first installation, the units were throwing noice. After repeated complain to the service centre, some technician came and serviced with no satisfaction of ours. Service of this company is very bad. But we had to suffer as we bought them, without experience of this ACs before. This march, suddenly we could understand that one unit among these three is not working properly. We complained again, and after this service man came and took out one unit on 4th march, 2010. He told us that there is a gas lick, and they will service it and will send it after two days. But still now, they have not sent it back, and whenever phoned, they are not giving any idea, when can we get back the AC.

Though there are lot of criticisms about the air conditioner, I feel that this air conditioner is the best. There are 3 bed rooms in my house and all the three rooms have samsung A/C fitted to them. They work well and they do not use much of electricity.The air swing is good and the price is not so high.Samsung service is good. They provide yearly and quaterly subscriptions for service. Samsung keep up the good job !

The persons who come to install the AC do not have any idea of how to do. The AC was installed in the evening for the first time. Within 3 months the original gas was fully leaked out. When the samsung support team was again called, they blamed the people who did the installation.. They then filled the gas and it again stayed for only 3 more months. The same problem is persisting till date. Its almost one and half years since i have purchased the product. i m frustated to the max for purchasing
