The Generation IV Swift debuted at the Paris Auto Salon in September 2004. This generation of the Swift marked a significant departure with the previous Cultus-based models, with Suzuki re-designing the vehicle as less of a low price alternative subcompact and more of a sporty subcompact. The Swifts design and driving characteristics focused on the European market with its chassis refined through a road-testing program across Europe. Available with 1.3 (92 PS (68 kW; 91 hp)) and 1.5 (102 PS (75 kW; 101 hp)) L petrol engines, the new Swift is Suzukis new global car, produced in Hungary, India, Japan and by Changan in China. In India the swift is available in petrol versions of LXi, VXi, and ZXi and the diesel versions of LDi, VDi and ZDi.

I have purchased a Swift VDi car Registration no. is UP-14 BC- 1777 (purchase bill number- MA3FKEB1S00576925). There are some regular problems such as Horn, Bumper and Brakes. I have changed horn 2 times but even though same problem is there. I always give my car for servicing to Maruti Service centre and always use Maruti genuine parts only but I suffer with the same problem of no voice of horn, loose bumper, loose brakes and even when I told these things to the maruti executive, he replied," these are very common problems of Swift, we cannot handle these. Now I suffer with all the problems. What can I do? Suffer with the same or with a horn of cycle? Please help me. I want them to repair the defect free of charges.

I have purchased Maruti Suzuki Swift VXI (RJ 14CE 8509, Chasis No 180478, Engine No 312170) on 23rd February 2008 from Mariti authorized dealer Ajmer Auto Agencies, P. Ltd., (Address Opp. City Power House, Jaipur Road, AJMER, Rajasthan) and paid them Rs 473,748 (inclusive of Insurance and Registration Charges) .In June 2011, we wished to buy a new Maruti car (Swift Dzire) in the exchange scheme from Maruti authorized dealer Ms K.P. Automotives, JAIPUR. Their authorized value inspected the car on 21st June 2011 and to our total disbelief, he informed us that although our car was purchased in February 2008, it had been manufactured in 2006. So effectively, we were sold a two year old car manufactured in the year 2006. According to him a difference of two to three months between manufacture and sale is quite possible, but a difference of two years is unheard of. We are shocked that a company like Maruti Suzuki can indulge in such unethical business practices and sell a two year old manufactured car model as a new car.The Ajmer dealer in response to our mail responded that he had sold the car to us after informing us of the same. We categorically deny the same. No person of sane mind would have accepted a two year model when they were looking for a new car. If we wanted a two year old car we would have approached a True Value Outlet or a second hand car dealer. The documents: Insurance and Registration were processed by the dealer himself and they also clearly state the year of manufacture as 2008. The dealer’s contention is that we were delivered a "brand new and perfect condition” car which has run “so far there were no grievances”. Even Maruti true value cars are delivered looking brand new and in perfect condition. Is it possible to ascertain at first glance while taking delivery of a new car that the chassis is two years old? If I go by my personal experience, Maruti Cars, leave alone 40 months, can run for decades without grievance. This does not justify his fraudulent act.An unethical practice is unethical regardless of the period after which it is discovered. The wrong done to us has to be set right when it is discovered by us and brought to Maruti notice. In fact it adds the additional burden and trauma of using an old car under the impression of new for 40 months!! It has also shaken our blind faith in the genuineness of Maruti Cars! We paid for a new car so we should get a new car. We seek the help of Consumer daddy to help us get our car replaced with a new car.

I purchase a Maruti Swift VDI (Registration number: GJ 1 KH 9903) on 18/09/2011 through Kataria Automobiles, Ahmedabad. The branch manager is Raj Rana and the relationship manager is Mr. Bipin Pandya. After finishing all the formalities the dealer called me for the delivery. I finished all the loan formalities 01/04/2011. I also called the relationship manager for the pick-up of balance amount on 02/04/2011. He told me that the price of the vehicle has increased, but did not give me a proper response. I was really surprised since, they did not inform me about the hike. The price increase came to effect on 06/04/2011. But I finished all the formalities on 02/04/2011 and the delivery was due on 06/04/2011. I believe the dealer has delayed the delivery to get the increased rate. I very much surprise my balance is ready all formalities is finish on 2/4/2011. I have taken the delivery of the vehicle, but I want the company to repay the extra Rs. 10,029/- paid by me.

I purchased swift car LDI on 27/10/2010 the Invoice number is VSL10000941, Registration number PB10CZ96 and the car’s purchase bill number PB-10-CZ-9622. The car was driven only for 2000km and the car’s front wheel got punctured and mechanics failed to repair it because of the poor quality of tyre. When contacting the company they failed to replace the tyre. After spending 6lakh for purchasing the car and it was done 2000km tyre has become useless. I tried to contact the company regarding this issue but still there is no response from them. Even I have sent lot of emails to the company still no proper response from the company. The company has to replace the tyre of my car since it’s still under the warranty period.

I have purchased Maruti Swift LDI on 02-Feb-2011 from Jaikrishna Auto Agencies, Coimbatore. I was able to run the first 510Kms smoothly. On 19th Feb-2011 7.30 AM I started from Coimbatore to Mysore. In the 610 Km at TIMBUM hills on the 20/27 Hairpin bend suddenly the engine got struck and shut down. The vehicle started going reverse and I stopped the car using the hand brake. In the hill station lot of vehicles were coming behind and we managed to stop the car in a flat surface with the help of some people. After that I started calling to the 24 customer care Maruti service centre. This happened at 11.00 AM. We tried to start the vehicle and it did not happen. The service people reached the spot at 4.30 PM. After that they also tried to do some trouble shooting, but they could not do that. So from there they started towing the vehicle from to Coimbatore Jaikrishna workshop. After checking the vehicle they are informing that there is some struck up in the diesel tank that was the reason for the problem. After removing the struck up from the diesel tank, they tried to start the vehicle and it got started. They took it for a test drive and it again stopped after 20kms. On the next day once again they tried to start the vehicle, but it did not start. I suspect that these people have delivered a defective vehicle to me. I want them to provide me a replacement of the diesel tank, if this is really a problem with the tank.

I own a Maruti Swift Zxi and am proud to say that it is the best car I have ever seen. The car has great looks and the power is simply awesome. It has a 4 cylinder 1298cc engine and a 5 peed manual transmission. The car is priced at Rs5.38 lakh. The car gives a mileage of 15 kilometers per liter. The air conditioner does a great job, it has good throw and distribution. The car has power steering which makes it very easy to control and the driving becomes effortless. The car has central and remote locking. The car has a top speed of 150 kilometers. The after sales service and support is good. The car comes with a factory fitted CD player and it is working well.

The swift is no doubt an excellent car, but there are some aspects of the swift that are a big problem. For example, the braking system of the swift that i had two years back was very faulty. The vehicle had excellent performance power and mileage but the brakes of my car were very weak. it once happened that i had a long distance drive and as i was driving at over 100kmph, i had to brake suddenly. it was at that time that the vehicles weakness was known. the tires woul not stop immediately in spite of me flooring the vehicle totally. I almost avoided a collision that day by sheer luck. back home i immediately took the vehicle to an authorised service station but the mechanic there could not find any problem with the brakes. He told me that they were in perfect working order. The newer swift is very much safer as compared to the older version.

I really had a lot to say about this car by Maruti. I own a diesel version with a catchy red color. It is really peppy in city traffic conditions. The torque comes into action in a linear motion. Unlike other hatchbacks on the road this too have an automatic climate control system. You just set the specific temperature you want and the rest will be alldone by the system. The average mileage is about 15.6 kmpl. I find it more spacious, more eye-catchy, refined, user-friendly and a lot more to drive anything else than this compact car. No matter CNBC Autocar awarded this as the car of the Year. It is moreover a viewers choice too. I always recommend this to anyone who asks me for a good car..

I am swift vxi owner.Till now Maruti suzuki has produced many cars among them swift is one of the best hatch back car. It gets 5 out of 5 in the looks. It has also very good pick up in its segment. Otherwise swift is best than the indica , santro , wagon-R , Fabia , I-20,i-10.

An amazing model by Suzuki, I just fell in love with at the test drive itself. Its more like a sports car and the name suits it best. I own a diesel version of LDi. I found it so economical when compared to other cars of same specifications. The maintenance cost is also not so high. I recommend this model for anyone who is looking for hatchback type
