Classified as a luxury Sports Activity Coupe, the BMW X6 can be considered the newest evolution of the mid-size SUV family. This hybrid combines the attributes of an SUV and a coupe. It is built in Spartanburg, SC, USA along with its sibling the BMW X5. In India, it is available in two variants the 2993cc I6, xDrive30d and the 4395cc V8, xDrive50i. Each engine is mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission that is all wheel drive (4X4). BMW has introduced its DPC (Dynamic Performance Control) system equipped to work in unison with its xDrive transmission, to regulate the drive train and chasis for precise traction / torque capable of negotiating multiple terrains. With respect to ecology, BMW will introduce an active hybrid mode in this vehicle enabling the driver to use either fuel, electricity or both to curtail emissions. This vehicle was unveiled in the 2009 New York Auto show and is available in variants that produce up to 500 bhp of power

I had the chance to test drive the worlds most powerful hybrid engine car, the BMW ActiveHybrid X6 during my recent visit to the US. It had one petrol engine and two electric motors, and the drive, the comfort, the handling, the pickup all were just amazing. It sounded (or rather did not make any sound) like an electric motor, yet I could reach 0 to 60 mph easily in around 8 seconds (i think). Contrary to what other people have written before, I think this vehicle looks gorgeous. The only thang that aint mouth watering was the USD90000 price tag. So I had to reserve the car to be bought when I win the three state powerball, heh heh. But overall, this is the most amazing car I have seen, been in or driven.

The BMW X6 has a 4.4 liter twin turbo engine that can deliver a maximum power of 555 bhp and a maximum torque of 680 Nm. The car has great looks and an equal performance. The car has Merino leather upholstery. The leather upholstery comes in 5 shades which the user can choose from. The steering wheel is special and made for the X6 specially. The car has an adaptive headlamps and a DVD player for the rear seats. The floor has velour mats for comfort. The car has a top speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The car is all about power. The power is unmatchable, and the response is excellent. The ride is smooth and comfortable. The power offered by a twin turbo 4395 twin turbo V8 translates into 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.7 seconds. All this is priced high, but the car is worth buying. The car is priced at 1.3 crores.

I had a test drive...what an exhilarating experience. An SUV combined with a sports car, wow. Imagine you are driving on the highway at 220 Kmph and suddenly you get bored of the monotony and want to do some rock climbing off road.. well ladies and gentlemen, this is your candidate. I wouldnt get too excited about the looks but then you need sports car performance in an SUV, well whatever the kid of that marriage looks like, it aint gonna be pretty, heh heh. Well done BMW..
