I had taken an AEGON Religare Assure Plan, Policy No. 110313044844 dated 21/03/2011 of 30,000/- Yearly Premium, Plan of 10 years after a call from M/S Swathi Chawla from Delhi Branch. I have no problem with this plan. On 23/05/2011, M/S Swathi Chawla called me on my mobile phone 07738963226, from a cell no. 09999684563 and explained about a Bonus being distributed to the existing customers. I was told that if I invest about Rs. 90,000/- in addition to the existing investment a bonus of Rs. 3,52,250/- will be given to me through cheque or DD. I said it is not possible for me to invest this much amount every year since I am a retired person. She insisted saying that our company is giving bonus to existing customers, many customers are foreigners or NRI, whom we do not wish to offer this scheme and we also cannot keep this amount with us. Therefore we wish to offer to existing customers who wish to invest further. When I said that it is not possible for me to pay other premiums, she had a plan for me. She said take two policies of Rs. 45,000/- each as a proposer to my two daughters and within 35 days bonus cheque or DD will be sent to you and after that both the policies can be terminated and about Rs. 4,000/- to RS. 5,000/- will be deducted from your total amount, and rest will be returned, but with the condition that I should keep the Bonus Issue to myself and not to tell anyone about it. Same day Mr. Ambreesh Pandey, ( Cell No. 09702814457) visited my house and all the formalities were completed but plan was offered by him for half yearly contribution. Immediately I contacted M/S. Swathi Chawla about half yearly premiums, she said since I will be terminating these policies what differences it makes. During this 35 days interval I received many calls asking me about the plan was properly explained and I have received the documents with similar details etc. I had to tell them it is OK, since I was not supposed to disclose them about the Bonus. After 35 days I contacted M/S Swathi Chawla and inquired about the Bonus. She came with many excuses in a span of 15 – 20 days, like 1) You should have received by this time. 2) Give me some time to check. 3) We will merge this amount after one year in existing plan. 4) Why don’t you take a pension plan and this amount will be merged in it. 5) Continue for 4 more years. Etc. I told her that you are not able to understand that I cannot pay the premiums, and I have to terminate both these policies immediately and get the refund. Finally she agreed to terminate the plan without any deduction and return me the full amount and also agreed to send a person next day to complete the formalities. After that she is avoiding my calls. I have called on various different nos. to contact her, which she had used to talk to me. Like 09718784183 ( her personal no. ), 09999684563, +911204761400, 01204396822, +911204396890, +911204396839, 099999950166. The excuses given to me by her colleagues are : She is busy, She is on leave, She is in a meeting, We will pass on your message, She will contacting within 10 minutes, She has met with an accident and she will returning next week, she has left the company, etc. I also called verification department and explained to Anju Mallick and Kalpana Sharma in detail. Now all of them are avoiding me. My humble request is to terminate both these plans and refund my full amount invested by me, i.e. Rs. 90,000/- as early as possible. Above letter was courried to Customer Relations Manager on 21 July 2011, and he has replied twice saying that since you have not asked for cancellation of policy within statutory period of 15 days, we regret to proceed with the cancellation. He is not ready to listen to me that I was asked not tell anyone for first 35 days.

AEGON Religare Life Insurance Company Limited was launched in the year of 2008. It started its multi-channel operations in all its 30 branches spread across India. I insured my two sons with the life insurance provided by AEGON Religare live insurance schemes. An agent from AEGON Religare Life Insurance Company came to my house and gave me valuable suggestions to save my money. They also have excellent customer service. The company offers provides of life insurance plans such as Level Term Plan, Life Term Plan etc.
