I was looking to choose a stem cell preservation company for my kid. I talked with Cryobank, lifecell, stembyte and cryolife. I found the marketing of lifecell to be most rude and full of ego. "You know we have done it for Ajay Devgan and Kajol". All other companies came to my home to give a presentation. But lifecell person wanted to just do it on phone and wanted a commitment. He told that he will come for presentation, but never came. I have opted for cryolife as I felt they have most advance technologies to preserve 3 types of cells in comparison to 2 of other companies.

I am another victim who has been duped by Lifecell. My membership number is 100703268. After making the initial payment Rs. 5700 in June 2010, I am yet to hear from them despite making numerous phone calls to their customer care. Every time they say they will get back but never get back. I am yet to receive the welcome kit and contract papers and I seriously doubt if my sample is even preserved. I have spoken to one of their employees Ms Manjusha P who sits in Mumbai. But i did not get a good response. I am really frustrated with my decision of opting Lifecell for my daughter and dont recommend this bogus organisation to anybody. Regards/Prashant

Dear Anonymous, If you are really a client of LifeCell then why you have not mention your name and CRM number so that you can be trace and your problem can be solve.Its a public site so it does not mean you can write anything about any company.We all know LifeCell is the best company in this industry and these type of gimmick come and go from competitor side.When elephant move dogs always bark.Pleople are smart enough to find out which is the best for them.

Based on my experience, the customer service at Life Cell is worst. They will not send annual storage fee reminder on times. If you make payment online, you can sit back and relax for weeks, as you would not get confirmation of your online transaction despite several follow-ups. Customer executive do not care to respond to your query. Surprise thing is that even they do not care for payment related queries. I am deeply regretting the decision to choose Life Cell as service provider. I would never recommend anyone to go for Life Cell. Life cell website states their commitment as follows. Sorry there is a correction. The article GREAT INDIAN FRAUD was not in India Today. It was in THE WEEK issue Feb 7, 2010. All those expecting parents who are looking towards the stem cell technology, please consult this article and research in detail before deciding to part with 2-3 lakh rupees of your life savings. Granted, your childs life is the most precious, but simply throwing away money is not good. You dont have to prove to your unborn child that you love him / her by throwing away money, do you?

wow, its amazing that people have this little general awareness. There was a major articleabout this same incident in a nationwide magazine. Yet people are writing praises about a company that has pioneered this fraud in india. My heart goes out to all those couples who innocently fell for this scam for the well being of the future of their children.

Did anyone read the article on India Today titled GREAT INDIAN FRAUD about stem cell companies? If so no one would go and write such comments about a company like LifeCell. They categorically and systematically mislead innocent couples like myself into buying their services when they know fully well that they cannot help my child cure any disease in any manner. And more over who knows if they really store the stem cell... I have never talked to any one who has not been returned their money whenever they have tried to request their sample! Its about time people start speaking from experience rather from bias.

Wow, this is exactly my complaint too. When I actually needed the stem cell, they are saying the sample is corrupted. What is the point in getting back the money I spent with them 2 years ago.... It is a scam! Do not go with lifecell and any of its services. They are the biggest frauds.

This company is into massive fraud. They charged me almost more than One Lakh rupees three years ago at the time of the birth of my child for stem cell services, which included preservation of the stem cells for 20 years. Now after three years, I have a need for the stem cell and I applied for it. For almost 30 days I have been pushed from one office to another and one representative to another. Now they inform me that the sample cannot be provided and they want me to take the one lakh money I paid 3 years ago and walk away. It is a total scam! I really believe they never stored the sample, and simply charged the money. As per their agreement there is "no guarantee" that they will produce the sample when needed, so I cannot go to consumer court also. All they are responsible for is to give the money back. If so, they can easily deposit the money in a bank for 3 years and never store a single sample, and if and when a sample is needed, they just return the money. Smart way of cheating!
